the cost of canvas will depend on the surface area of the tent=CSA.of the cylindrical portion+ Csurface area of the conical portion.

For the cylin

radius =15 m

height=5.5

So CSA=2*(22/7)*15*(5.5)

For the conical portion

r=radius=15 m

straight height =8.25-5.5=2.75

So, l=slant height of the cone=

then the CSA of cone=

Add the two values of CSA ( cylin and cone)

multiply the total by 45( as the rate for 1 sq m is Rs. 45) and you will have the answer.
