Plz explain if a ball is thrown in an accelerating train, then it will fall behind or after the thrower or will return to him ?

The ball will fall behind the  thrower as the horizontal component of the velocity of the ball remains constant through out the motion whereas the train is accelerating, so the velocity of the train becomes greater than the velocity of the ball and hence the ball fall behinf the thrower.
