the direction of electric current will from left to right in this diagram.

now if we  assume that the  mass is uniformally distributed  in the rod , then in equilibrium the weight of the rod will equal to the tension  in the spring. now tension will equally divided in both springs so

2T=Mg.

so T=Mg/2

Now according to fleming's left hand rule  we get

IBL=Mg/2

so I=Mg/2BL

towards  right side inthe  figure.

As we know, work done by Magnetic force is always zero in moving a charged particle./So it cannot change speed of charged particle. MY doubt is that, can magnetic force change direction of motion of charged particle?
