The vector cross product is anticommutative, means that while evaluating the cross product of two vectors it does matter which vector you treat as first and which as second. Because using right hand rule to find the direction of resultant vector depends upon which vector you start with.

Hence A X B ≠  B X A, but A X B = - B X A
