Answer : Given the equation 31/2x - 3y + 6=0
To find its inclination
We know for a line L = Ax+By+C=0 be the general equation of a line. It is clear that the points (-C/A,0) and (0,-C/B) are on the line since they satisfy the equation of the line. Therefore, the slope of L is given by
m = ( 0 - (-C/B) ) / ( (-C/A) -0) = - A/B
and the angle of inclination, theta = tan-1(-A/B)
Therefore for the equation 31/2x - 3y + 6=0
here A = 31/2 , B = - 3 , C = 6
the slope will be given by = - 31/2 / (-3) = 3-1/2
inclination = tan-1( 3-1/2 ) = 30 degree is the reequired inclination of the line Answer
