Let x, y be the number of packets of plain biscuits and chocolate biscuits repectively.

Anyway she wants to buy 3 plain and 4 chocolate biscuits, costing 54 rupees, so we have to maximize for the remaining amount.

Maximize Z = x + y

subject to

6x + 9y ≤ 18, i.e. y ≤ -2x/3 + 2

x≥0,

y≥0,

Plotting these we find the feasible region is just a triangle, with vertices, (0,0), (0,2), (3,0)

So (3,0) is the optimum point.

Total number of packets = 3+3 + 4 = 10.
