It will increase.
The magnetic field of a solenoid given by, B = μ0nI, when an iron nail is placed within the magnetic field of solenoid i.e. inside the solenoid, B = μnI, since μ > μ0, the magnetic field will increase.
μ = permeability of iron, μ0 = permeability of free space,
n = number of turns per unit length of solenoid,
I = electric current.
