Ploughing of fields is a must for the germination of seeds because-
- It brings fresh nutrients to the surface.
- It loosens soil so that roots can penetrate easily.
- The loosened soil can trap air easily.
- It also promotes aerobic microorganisms and other soil organisms to increase fertility of the soil.
- The soil is able to hold more moisture.
- The weeds are removed.
