Qn. (1) can not be answered because refraction in glass slab does not produce any image

We have lens equation
(1/v) + (1/u) = ( 1 / f )
where v is mirror-to-image distance , u is mirro-to-object distance and f is focal length of mirror
By cartesian sign convention u = -5 cm and f = -10 cm
(1/v) = -(1/10) +(1/5) = +1/10 cm-1
Hence v = 10 cm
magnification m = - v/u = -10 / -5 = 2
image is formed at a distance 10 cm behind mirror . Image is virtual , magnified and erect .
