Markings A, B, C, D, E and F are done in the given circuit to redraw teh circuit in proper form.
Two resistors 12Ω and 8Ω are parallel. One end of this parallel connection is A and C .
Other end of this parallel connection is B
16Ω resistor is parallel to 4A current source. D and F are at one end of parallel connection. Point E is at other end.
B and D are coonected. E and C are connected.
In the redrawn circuit, it can be seen that 4A current source is directly connected to C ( left end of parallel resistors ) .
Similarly 9A current source also directly connected C ( left end of parallel resistors ) .
Hence no current will flow in 16 Ω resistor , combined current of 13A flows through parallel resistors.
Required current i1 , i2 and i3 can be easily marked in redrawn circuit and they are shown in figure.
i1 = 13×(8/20) = 7.8 A ; i2 = 13 A ; i3 = 0
