Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity. 
Acceleration is denoted by symbol 'a'. 
Unit of acceleration is m/s2 
Uniform acceleration - When velocity of the object increases by equal amounts in equal intervals of time it is said to be moving with uniform acceleration. 

Non - uniform acceleration - When velocity of the object increases by unequal amounts in equal intervals of timet is said to be moving with non - uniform acceleration.
