Please note the density of gold given in the question is incorrect.
It is 19.32 gm/cc

Volume of copper + volume of the gold = volume of the crown

begin mathsize 12px style open parentheses mass over density close parentheses subscript copper space end subscript plus open parentheses mass over density close parentheses subscript gold space end subscript equals space volume space of space crown space end style

Loss in weight of the crown = 210 - 198=12gm
Volume of crown=12 cc  (1 kg water have a volume of 1000 cc)

begin mathsize 12px style open parentheses mass over density close parentheses subscript copper space end subscript plus open parentheses mass over density close parentheses subscript gold space end subscript equals space 12 end style
Let Xgold be the quantity of gold
Hence, quantity of copper = 210-Xgold

begin mathsize 12px style open parentheses fraction numerator 210 minus straight X subscript gold over denominator 8.5 end fraction close parentheses subscript copper space end subscript plus space open parentheses fraction numerator straight X subscript gold over denominator 19.32 end fraction close parentheses subscript gold space end subscript equals space 12 end style
Xgold =193 gm
