pR2 + pr2 = 130p cm2
R2 + r2 = 130 cm2 (1)
R + r = 14 cm
r = 14 – R
Substituting this in (1)
R2 + (14 – R)2 = 130
R2 + 196 – 28R + R2 = 130
R2 – 14R + 33 = 0
Solving this quadratic equation we find,
R = 11 cm or 3 cm.
The radius of one circle is 11 cm and other is 3 cm.
