In physics, pseudo forces arise when Newtons laws of motion are applied in a non-inertial (accelerating) frame of reference. These forces have no real existence but must be taken into account in an accelerating frame of reference to make the Newtons Laws of motion applicable on the system.
Example: Centrifugal force is a pseudo force that is considered when a body is moving in a circular path. The actual force that keeps the revolving body in the circular path is the centripetal force which is directed towards the center of the circle. The magnitude of centrifugal force is equal to the centripetal force but is directed away from the center.
