Let the thickness of the open pipe be t.

Total surface area,A=4620=115.5+2π(7)(R+r)...(1)

Area of base,A=π(R+r)t=115.5...(2)

Using (1) and (2),

4620=115.5+2(7)(115.5)/t

t=0.36 cm
