Electronic Configuration- 2,8,18,8,1
It has 1 electron in valence shell so, It will donate this one electron to attain stable stable beacuase after donating 1 electron, it will have 8 electrons in valence shell.
(b) X is a reducing agent beacuase it has tendency to loose electron.
