Please answer the question on capacitance

In parallel the values of capacitance gets added up. In series you add up the reciprocal of these values to get the reciprocal of total capacitance.

Please refer to your book for the relevant formulae.

You will find that in parallel capacitances add up to the greatest value and in series they add up to the least value.
