pl solve the following ques

in first hour it will cover 1cm, in next hour it will cover 1/2 cm ,then 1/4cm and so on..

so we have distance covered by sanil is 1+(1/2)+(1/4)+(1/8)+......(1/2)n-1 when he travels for n hours

it is a geometric progression whose sum = (1) (1 - (1/2)n )/ (1- 1/2) = 2 ( 1 - (1/2)n )

which is always less than 2 so it cant be equal to 3 in any case i.e. snail will not reach its target.
