ICSE Class 9 Answered
p^2 + q^2 = 25; How can we solve this?
Though the answer is obvious, p=3 and q=4 or p=4 and q=3, but the solution is not clear.

Mathematics is entirely logic based subject, though we have evolved many formulae to deal with mathematical problems.
In the given case, equation represents a circle and it has infinite solutions which lies on the circle of radius 5.
(3,4) and (4,3) are two of them among the infinite solutions.
Four more solutions which I can easily be pointed out are (5,0) (0,5), (-5, 0) and (0, -5)
