Expert Answer:

endosmosis is transferof solvent from its higher to lower conc ie from outside to inside therough plasma membrane whwn a cell is placed in a hypotonic sol(higher solvent n less solute)

exosmosis is transfer of solvent from  its higher to lower conc. ie from inside to outside of cell through plasma membrane when a cell is placed in a hypertonic sol(less solvent n high solute)

whwn cell is placed in an isotonic sol (conc of sol is same as that of cellular fluid)then there is no net osmosis ie exosmosis n endosmosis r equal
