Let,
the present age of a man = x years
the present age of son = y years

According to the conditions,

x - 1 = 4(y - 1)
x - 4y = -3   ...(1)

x + 6 = 2(y + 6) + 9
x - 2y = 15  ....(2)

Subtracting (2) from (1), we get
x = 33 and y = 9
Therefore,
present age of a man = 33 years
present age of son = 9 years
