On an insulated rod having length 'L' 'Q'charge is uniformly distributed & a point charge 'q'is placed at a distance 'd'from one of its ends .What will be the force on 'q'.

Electric field due to a uniformly charged rod at a point at distance d along its axis would be
E = kQ/d(d+L), where Q is the total charge on the rod and L is the length of the rod.
Hence, force = qE = kqQ/d(d+L) N.
