Resistance of the electric iron will be equal to the equivalent resistance of the three,

i.e. 1/R = [1/100 + 1/50 + 1/500]

             = [(50+100+1)/500]

             = 151/500

therefore, R = 500/151 = 3.311 ohm

Current = V/R = 220/3.311 = 66.445 ampere
