Given:
 
No. of oxygen atoms =12x1023 atoms

Molecular weight of oxygen = 17
 
Atomic number = No. of protons = 8
 
 NA = 6x10 23 
 
No of neutrons = Atomic mass - No of protons
 
                      = 17-8
 
                      = 9
 
One oxygen atom contains 9 neutrons,
 
therefore 12x1023 atoms atoms of oxygen will contain = 12x1023 × 9
 
                                                                                               =1.08 ×1025 neutrons
