A, B, AB and O are the blood groups under ABO system. 
 
Differences between universal donor and universal recepient:
 

Universal recipient

Universal donor

It can receive blood from any ABO blood group.

It can donate blood to any ABO blood group.

The universal donor is Type AB. 

The universal donor is Type O. 

It contains both types of antigens on their red blood cells.

It lacks antigen A and antigen B on their red blood cells.
