My last question was-- Why 2,2,4- trimethyl pentane is called iso-octane. You answered-- Because it contains eight carbon atoms. Then it will mean that any chain containing eight carbon atoms would be called ' iso-octane'??? I don't think so. Please give a specific and good answer...
