Subhas Chandra Bose was an Indian nationalist who is rememberd for his active and agressive role in Indian freedom struggle. Some of his contributions to India's freedom struggle are:
- Bose formed the Forward Bloc within the Congress party and one of its man objectives of the Forward Bloc was the independence of the nation.
- He provided leadership to the Indian National Army after he went to Japan in 1943.
- Subhas Chandra Bose also founded the Provisional Government of Free India at Singapore on 21 October 1943. The government was recognised by nine governments including Germany, Italy, Japan and Myanmar.
