Electoral functions of the Parliament:

1. The President of India is selected by the Parliament along with the State Legislatures.
2. Both Houses of Parliament elect the Vice President of India.
3. The Lok Sabha elects its Speaker and Deputy Speaker from among its own members.
4. The Rajya Sabha has the right to elect its Deputy Chairman from its members.
5. The laws to regulate the conduct of elections in the country are also made by the Parliament.
