Members of un general assembly meet for only 2 months in a year.Then what do they do for the rest of the year

Members of the General Assembly represent their countries in the meetings. These members are either ministers, dignitories, high profile bureaucrats or extremely learned or distinguished men. These people after attending the General Assembly meetings return back to their country and do their usual work.
