Mean = (10 + 20 + 30 + 40 + 50 )/ 5 = 150/5 = 30

Therefore, a = 30

The data to calculate median is as follows:

24, 23, 30, 29, 12, 16

Data in ascending order is 12, 16, 23, 24, 29, 30

Median = (23 + 24)/2 = 47/2 = 23.5
