Expert Answer
Let the sum of the ages of 2 children is = x years
Father's age = 3x
after 5 years the sum of the ages of his 2 childern will be = x + 10 (5 year for both the children sums up to 10)
Father's age after 5 years = 2(x+10)
according to the problem :
3x + 5 = 2(x+10)
3x + 5 = 2x + 20
x = 15
Therefore age of the father is = 3 x 15 = 45 years
