Dear Student
This is because the mass one hydrogen atom is 1.67 x 10-24 g
 1 amu  = 1.66 x 10-24 g
Mass of hydrogen atom in terms of amu = (1.67 x 10-24 g) / (1.66 x 10-24 g) = 1.0080 amu
