Disease is the departure from normal health through structural or functional disorder of the body. As vital functions of the body get disturbed due to diseases, they are definitely harmful to us. However, the seriousness of a disease may vary. Some diseases, e.g. typhoid and cholera are not very serious and may get cured, while some, e.g. AIDS are serious and may even prove fatal.
