1: In the coordinate plane ,on the x-axis consider time in hoursand on the y-axis consider distance in kms.
2:The speed of the car is 90 km /hr , which means that the car covers 90 km in one hour.
3:Plot the (time,distance) points on the graph as (1,90),(2,180),(3,270)---
4:Join these points .It will be a straight line and the desired graph.
5:From the point (0.5,0) draw a perpendicular line which intersects the previous line in point P.
6:The Y coordinate of the point is the required distance. This should be 45 km.
7: From the point (2.5,0) draw a perpendicular line which intersects the previous line in point Q.
8:The Y coordinate of the point Q is the required distance. This should be 225 km.
