You can use the following points to frame your argument.
We should maintain our national parks for the benefit of the local population
- The locals have a right to the natural heritage of their country and should receive the first preference to enjoy it.
- National parks and wild life reserves when opened to the local public, give them an opportunity to escape their hectic city lives.
- It is a great learning experience for growing children.
- National parks when maintained for the locals are often free or charge a nominal fare.
- The first and foremost reason behind maintaining a natural park is to preserve nature and not reap monitory benefits out of it.
- If national parks are opened to tourist there will be an increasing need for maintaining them according to the international standards.
- This will in turn make it impossible for the locals to afford the fees charged to visit these places.
