let the hundred's and the ten's place be x and y resply.

the units place is 5 as given.

acc to qn,

middle digit y= (x+5)/2

i.e.

2y=x+5..(i)

the number can be written as

100x+10y+5

if 108 is added to the number then

100x+10y+113=100y+10(5)+x

i.e.

99x-90y=-63

i.e.

11x-10y=-7..(ii)

solving, we get,

x=3 and y=4

so the original number becomes

345

when we add 108

 we get

453

which has the places interchanged as given in the question.
