Expert Answer
let the work done by A in x days
and
by B in y days.
So A's one day's work is 1/x
and
B's one day's work is 1/y
acc to qn
1/x+[1/y]=1/10..(i)
if A works for 12 days and B for 6 days, then the work is completed that is work done =1
So,
12/x+[6/y]=1
i.e.
2/x+[1/y]=1/6..(ii)
solving the two eqns,
we get,
x=15
and
y=30
