Expert Answer:

let the work done by A in x days

 and

by B in y days.

So A's one day's work is 1/x

and

B's one day's work is 1/y

acc to qn

1/x+[1/y]=1/10..(i)

if A works for 12 days and B for 6 days, then the work is completed that is work done =1

So,

12/x+[6/y]=1

i.e.

2/x+[1/y]=1/6..(ii)

solving the two eqns,

 we get,

x=15

and

y=30
