limit question

Expert Answer:
we know that |x| = x for x>0 and -x for x<0
for R.H.L. limx->0+ x / |x| = limx->0+ x / x = 1
for L.H.L. limx->0- x / |x| = limx->0- x / (-x) = -1
since R.H.L is not equal to L.H.L
so limit of this expression does not exist
