When food enters the stomach, gastric juices are released from the walls of the stomach that help digestion. If we take water along with food, these juices are diluted and the digestion power is reduced. Also, water carries the diluted, and consequently weakened, digestive juices along with it, thereby interfering seriously with digestion. Many of the useful nutrients will then be removed from the body as undigested food.
