You have not understood it correctly.
Homologous organs have similar origin and basic structure, but they look different since they have been modified to perform different functions. For example - the limbs of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians.
Analogous organs look similar externally due to common use but have different origins as well as different basic structural plan. E.g. wing of bird and bat.
This is what is given in NCERT also.
