Dear student,
Genotype refers to the genetic makeup of an organism. It is the collection of genetic material in an organism that gives rise to its characteristics.
Phenotype on the other hand refers to the observable traits or characteristics of an organism, for example hair color, weight etc. The phenotype is a consequence of the interaction of the organisms genotype and the environment.
