Is there is any other easy method for factorizing the long terms?

In order to factorise by splitting the middle term of a quadratic ax2+bx+c, find two numbers such that their sum is b and their product is ac.
Here, ac=-24 and b=5
Clearly, it can be observed that the two numbers which satisfy the requirements are 8 and -3.
Thus, we have:
4V3x2 + 5x - 2V3 = 0
4V3x2 + 8x - 3x - 2V3 = 0
4x(V3x + 2) - V3(V3x + 2) = 0
(4x - V3)(V3x + 2) = 0
x=V3/4 or -2/V3
