Yes. For any organic carboxylic acid the general formula can be deduced as alkyl/alkenyl/ alkynyl/phenyl/benzyl -COOH.
for example, carboxylic acids of alkanes we have general formula, CnH2n+1COOH
for alkenes' carboxylic acids, CnH2n-1COOH
