CBSE Class 11-science Answered

is pressure directly proportional to the boiling point?

answered-by-expert Expert Answer
when pressure increases over liquid surface, take example of pressure cooker, that means more gas or vapour molecules over the liquid surface.
so more energy would be required by the liquid molecules to overcome the pressure and escape out. so boiling point increases to provide the molecules with that energy..
