Is Lactic acid and ethyl alcohol same?

Lactic acid is an organic acid. It has a molecular formula CH3CH(OH)COOH. It is white in the solid state and it is miscible with water. It is a 3 carbon compound produced when muscle cells respire anaerobically.
Ethanol is an organic chemical compound. It is a simple alcohol with the chemical formula C ₂H ₆O. It is a 2 carbon compound produced during anaerobic respiration in yeasts and other organisms.
