Displacement is a vector quantity. It is basically the difference between the final and initial position of a body, thus it is also dependent on the direction.
Eg a body moving in a square starting from the midpoint of a side, going to the opposite side's corner, will have different displacement when the body goes to the two different corners.
Even when the magnitude is same, the direction is different.
