Is a cylinder applicable to have tangents ? If so how many and where would the tangents be located ?

All the figures, whether they are two dimensional or three dimensional, are applicable to have tangents.
And there are infinite number of tangents to the cylinder at a point, because cylinder is a three dimensional figure.
For circle, there can be only one tangent to the circle from a point P on the circle.
But since cylinder is a three dimensional figure, infinite number of tangents can be drawn to it at a point P on the cylinder.
