ICSE Class 8 Answered
In the triangle, sum of two angles is 90° which is the measure of the third angle. Also, the difference of these 2 angles is 10°, find the measure of these two unknown angles.

Let the 1st angle of a triangle = x
then the second angle = 90° - x
According to the condition, we get
x - (90° - x) = 10
→ 2x - 90 = 10
→ 2x = 100
→ x = 50° and 90° - x = 90° - 50° = 40°
Therefore the measure of the two unknown angles are 50° and 40°.
