If we stretch the points A and B away from each other then it is evident that the given circuit is the conventional wheat stone bridge which is balanced. In this situation the contribution of the middle resistance is zero.
Then resultant resistance between A and B = (1 + 1) || (1 + 1) = 2 || 2 = 1 ohm
