in selina text book it is given power equals force X speed where as it should be velocity since force is related with displacement since it is a vector quantity is it correct or not ?

Yes it is correct to certain extent. But, power is a scalar quantity. So, speed is taken for calculating power.
Also, distance is considered in the direction of force at the first place because we need the power to be a scalar.
